Accountant Bear - "The Count" - Sitting

  • Bob McGee, the artist, was himself a graduate of Boyertown High School, eager to support the arts and the Bear Fever project from its beginnings. While he currently lives in Emmaus, Bob has many fond memories of BASH and wishes that a project of this nature had been available when he was a student.

Bob's involvement with the project came as a result of a chance meeting with Paul Stahl at a graduation party of one of Jane's students in June 2004.

The "crackling" effect seen on the bear is a trademark of Bob's work that Paul was eager for him to display.

Bob decided to eliminate the "crackling" effect in the updated version, but the bear is as handsome as ever.

Thanks to Bob Reinhard and Larry Hoffa for their contributions toward their bear's facelift.

Accountant Bear - Sitting:
"The Count"

The Accountant Bear needed a facelift and a new home when "Lady A" arrived at the Friendship Hook and Ladder firehouse, sponsored by the Lady's Auxiliary to celebrate the 50th anniversary (in 2016) of the organization.

Bob Magee, the bear's original artist, wanted the refurbishing job, and we're grateful he retained the original artwork.
